Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak received here on Sunday Mr. Li Tao, Chairman of Heilongjiang Province Maiku Information Technology Co., Ltd., and colleagues for a courtesy meeting.

According to the ministry, Mr. Li Tao sought H.E. Minister’s support for his company's project to collaborate with the Ministry of Tourism on digitalisation through Smart Tourism development, which includes the development of a digital system for managing the Cambodian tourism industry and helping to support the development of the Smart Tourism Cambodia Ecosystem, creating and managing Tourism Satellite Accounts, Tourism Data Platform, and Smart Tourism Dashboard for monitoring daily and real-time tourism operations and activities, as well as providing human resources training assistance.

In response, H.E. the Minister expressed his appreciation for the company's excellent initiatives and projects that have seen Cambodia's rich tourism potential and investment opportunities through the use of cutting-edge information technology and artificial intelligence, especially its important participation in digitalisation work which is in line with the policies of the Royal Government of Cambodia in the 7th mandate.

Following on the same day, the Ministry of Tourism and Heilongjiang Province Maiku Information Technology Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focusing on the above-said project.

This is the second new MoU signed within the framework of good cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia and the HEILONGJIANG Provincial Administration.
