Flight Services Between Cambodia and Thailand Operating as Usual: SSCA
AKP Phnom Penh, June 25, 2025 --
Flight services between Cambodia and Thailand continue to operate as normal despite Thailand’s unilateral decision to close all land borders with Cambodia, a senior official from the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) confirmed on June 25.
H.E. Sinn Chanserey Vutha, Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the SSCA, stated that as of June 25, 2025, no flights between the two neighbouring countries have been suspended.
“As of now, both the Phnom Penh–Bangkok and Siem Reap–Bangkok routes are operating normally,” he said.
According to SSCA data, there are currently 78 weekly flights between Phnom Penh and Bangkok, operated by nine airlines – three Cambodian and six foreign carriers.
Additionally, there are 38 weekly flights between Siem Reap and Bangkok, served by Bangkok Airways, Thai AirAsia, and Emirates.
Thai Airways is also planning to launch a new Bangkok–Siem Reap route in October, the SSCA added.
In the first five months of 2025, the number of inbound and outbound air passengers increased by 18 percent, reaching 3.04 million, according to SSCA figures.
