MISTI Delegation Supports Frontline Troops at Preah Vihear Border
AKP Phnom Penh, June 24, 2025 --
A delegation of the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) led by its Minister H.E. Hem Vanndy visited Cambodian troops stationed along the border in Preah Vihear province on June 23.
The visit included the delivery of essential food, supplies, and a cash donation of 50 million riel to support soldiers guarding the frontline.
This generous contribution was made by Minister Hem Vanndy and his spouse, the leadership and officials of MISTI, as well as members of the private sector, said the ministry, adding that it follows an earlier donation made about a week ago of 1,000 mobile solar lights.
“MISTI leadership and officials as well as the Cambodian people express our appreciation and gratitude to the bravery and sacrifice of our troops in defending Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” said Minister Hem Vanndy during the visit. “We stand firmly with you in this noble national cause.”
“Our visit today is not only to provide material support—it is a message of national unity and unwavering solidarity with our troops under the leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia,” he added.
The soldiers and commanders warmly welcomed the support, describing it as both timely and morale-boosting as they continue to carry out their duties under heightened security conditions along the border.
