North Korean Ambassador Bids Farewell to Cambodia After Nine-Year Tenure

H.E. Jang Yun Gon, the outgoing Ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the Kingdom of Cambodia, was honored with a farewell meeting today, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The meeting was hosted by H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn extended his congratulations to Ambassador Jang Yun Gon on the successful completion of his nine-year diplomatic term in Cambodia. He expressed deep appreciation for the Ambassador's significant contributions to maintaining and strengthening the traditional friendly relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Jang Yun Gon, in turn, conveyed his profound gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for their close cooperation and the extended support provided to him and the DPRK Embassy during his tenure.
Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn underscored the enduring cordial friendship between Cambodia and the DPRK, a relationship established on December 20, 1964, by the late King-Father, His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah NORODOM SIHANOUK "Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh," and H.E. Kim Il-sung, 60 years ago.
He further expressed his hope that Ambassador Jang Yun Gon will continue to play a contributing role in promoting Cambodia-DPRK bilateral relations, regardless of his future position.
