AKP Phnom Penh, June 20, 2025 -- The Mini-Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo (KBEE) 2025, hosted in Phnom Penh, will offer opportunities in trade and investment and foster bilateral cooperation for the common interests of Cambodia and South Korea.

Minister of Commerce H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul made the remarks when presiding over the opening ceremony of the KBEE 2025 with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Cambodia H.E. Park Jung Wook on June 20, thanking the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy of South Korea, the Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), and all relevant actors in organising the exhibition.

“This exhibition plays an important role in promoting economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea and enhancing people-to-people contacts, which is part of helping to enhance the value of bilateral cooperation relations, exchange traditions and cultures in the spirit of promoting stronger and deeper friendship,” she said.

H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul encouraged Korean investors to invest and conduct more business in Cambodia, especially in high-potential sectors that can be connected to the Korean production chain, such as modern agriculture, the food processing industry, automotive, electronics, and digital technology.

She also called on the private sector of the two countries to take maximum advantage of the Cambodia-Korea Bilateral Free Trade Agreement, the ASEAN-Korea Free Trade Agreement, and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, of which both Cambodia and South Korea are members, to help further promote the growth of bilateral trade.

Official figures show that bilateral trade volume between Cambodia and South Korea rose by 12 percent to US$840 million in 2024.
