President of the National Assembly (NA) of Cambodia, Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary has sent a condolence message to H.E. Trần Thanh Mẫn, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the Honorable Tran Duc Luong, former President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, on May 20th, 2025,” she wrote in her message shared to the public this morning.

The Honorable Tran Duc Luong leaves a remarkable legacy of unwavering dedication to the independence, progress, and well-being of the Vietnamese people, Samdech Khuon Sudary added, stressing that for Cambodia, the Honorable former President was a close true friend and a key architect in building the robust and lasting ties of friendship and solidarity between our nations.

“On behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I would like to convey my deepest and most sincere condolences to the Communist Party of Viet Nam, the National Assembly, the State and the People of Viet Nam and especially to the grieving family for this great loss. May the soul of the Honorable Tran Duc Luong rest in eternal peace,” she concluded.
