Cambodian PM to Leave for 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Malaysia This Weekend

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high-level delegation to Malaysia to participate in the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits to be held on May 26-27, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, at the invitation of the Honourable Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and Chair of the 2025 ASEAN Summits.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation AKP received this morning, Samdech Thipadei and the First Lady, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, will be accompanied by H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with other ministers, senior government officials and business representatives from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.
Under the theme "Inclusivity and Sustainability", the Summit will focus on advancing ASEAN Community building and is expected to adopt the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 – a milestone that will reaffirm and enhance the region's shared commitment to a resilient, innovative, dynamic and people-centred ASEAN.
The Related Summits will offer a platform for ASEAN to deepen and expand its relations with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as well as to engage with both the GCC and China on economic cooperation amidst a shifting geopolitical and economic landscape.
While in Kuala Lumpur, Samdech Thipadei is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with ASEAN and other world leaders to strengthen and deepen bilateral relations on issues of common interest and concern.
