The Svay Chanti Tumring Advanced Agricultural Community in Kampong Thom province has successfully delivered its inaugural six-tonne shipment of cashew nuts to Santana Agro Products, marking a significant step in their recently signed 300-tonne supply contract.

H.E. Khim Finan, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, commended the farmers on April 2, emphasising the exceptional quality of their produce. He noted that Santana Agro Products is paying a premium of 100 Riel (Cambodian currency) per kilogramme, bringing the total to 5,800 Riel, surpassing the standard market price of 5,700 Riel. Payments are being made promptly upon delivery.

The community will continue to deliver cashew nuts in subsequent shipments until the full 300-tonne contract is fulfilled. Notably, the 5,800 Riel per kilogramme price secured by the community was initially 400 Riel higher than the market rate of 5,400 Riel on April 1, 2025.

Despite a subsequent market price drop, Santana Agro Products has upheld its contractual agreement, ensuring a stable and favorable price for the farmers.
