H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce and Chairperson of the Cambodian Halal Steering Committee, chaired a meeting here on Mar. 18 to review the draft Halal Development Strategic Plan 2025–2029. 

The meeting was attended by H.E. Datuk Othsman Hassan, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Missions, Excellencies, vice-presidents, and representatives of relevant ministries and institutions. 

The purpose of the meeting was to review, discuss, and collect input on the draft skeleton of the Halal Development Strategic Plan 2025–2029 and review the certification process (process mapping). 

On the occasion, H.E. Minister instructed the Secretariat of the Steering Committee to work on the preliminary draft of the Halal Development Strategic Plan 2025–2029 to study and revise the draft Prakas on Application for the Certificate of Cambodia Halal Product Technical Standard and the draft Standard Operating Procedure for the Certification Process in accordance with international standards.
