Cambodian Acting Head of State Receives Singaporean Ambassador
AKP Phnom Penh, March 11, 2025 --
Cambodian Acting Head of State, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, received here this morning at the Senate Palace H.E. Ms. Teo Lay Cheng, Ambassador to Singapore to Cambodia.
In the courtesy meeting, Samdech Techo Hun Sen highlighted the growing bilateral relationship between the two nations, especially trade and economic cooperation.
The Acting Head of State hoped that through the planned activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Cambodia and Singapore, the two-way trade will grow beyond US$ 1 billion.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also expressed his intention to see more direct flights between both ASEAN nations to further promote the bilateral ties and the people-to-people connectivity.
For her part, H.E. Ms. Teo Lay Cheng pledged to do her best to boost Singapore trade and investment in Cambodia.
H.E. Ambassador added that as her diplomatic mission has not yet ended, she will continue to witness Cambodia’s progress and development.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen and H.E. Ms. Teo Lay Cheng hoped that an important agreement on carbon credits collaboration between the two countries can be finalised on the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations to show the world their strong commitment to combat climate change.
