CJKA Brand Launched in Osaka to Boost Cambodia-Japan Bilateral Cooperation

The Cambodia-Japan Kibou Association (CJKA) has launched its brand in Osaka, Japan, to boost relations between Cambodia and Japan and promote investment, trade, and tourism cooperation.
The official launching ceremony was held on Feb. 18 with the participation from H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cambodia-Japan Kibou Association, H.E. Tuy Ry, Cambodian Ambassador to Japan, and many other key figures.
The CJKA was established in June 2024 with the objectives to promote cultural exchanges to strengthen friendship between the two nations through cooperation with relevant institutions in Cambodia and Japan, H.E. Heng Sour said.
The association focuses on promoting investment and trade partnerships between Cambodia and Japan through organising seminars on investment environment and laws, business forums, and providing various consultations, he added.
Mr. Okamura Katsumasa, President of Reve21, was appointed as President of the CJKA in Osaka.
Cambodian Ambassador to Japan H.E. Tuy Ry placed high hopes that the CJKA will contribute to boosting the bilateral trade between Cambodia and Japan.
“The new branch office is progressing smoothly and successfully in its mission to promote investment, trade, tourism, and other sectors between Cambodia and Japan,” he said.
Japan is one of the biggest markets for Cambodian exports. Last year, the country exported US$1,408 million worth of products to Japan, a year-on-year increase of 20 percent.
The main exports to Japan are garments, bags, footwear, furniture, cosmetics, paper and office supplies and leather goods, while major imports from Japan include machinery, automobiles, electronics, furniture, fabrics and plastics.
