Cambodians to Observe National Culture Day with Deep Appreciation of Their Rich Cultural Heritage
AKP Phnom Penh, February 04, 2025 --
Cambodia will celebrate the 27th National Culture Day on Mar. 3 under the theme “Youth for National Culture” to deepen the appreciation of her rich cultural heritage.
Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet circulated the notification recently, instructing relevant government ministries and agencies as well as other stakeholders to take initiative in celebrating the culture day from Mar. 3 until the Khmer New Year celebration that will fall on April 14-16.
The observation of the National Culture Day aims to recognise and value Cambodian ancestors who have sacrificed their physical, mental, and intellectual strength and lives in creating, preserving, and protecting the cultural heritage for the future generations, wrote Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet in the statement.
It also stands as an opportunity to engage and inspire a sense of appreciation and love for the arts, culture, customs, and traditions that are the soul and national identity of all Cambodians, he added.
He highlighted that the awareness and ownership of the shared national identity will contribute to further building of social harmony, dignity, and national prestige in Cambodia as a civilised nation.
Cambodia has been celebrating the National Culture Day annually on Mar. 3.
