Cambodia Bags 69 Medals from ASEAN Para Games 2023

Cambodia, the host country, remains at the 8th place on the Medal Table by winning a total of 69 medals, of which 9 gold, 18 silver and 42 bronze from the ongoing 12th ASEAN Para Games 2023 in Phnom Penh, according to the latest update of the Organising Committee.
The number of medals obtained exceeded the plan set forth by the Cambodian para athletes for the 12th edition of the ASEAN Para Games, i.e. 56 medals: 8 gold, 21 silver and 27 bronze.
Six of the nine gold medals were grabbed in Athletics, two in Powerlifting, and one in Women’s Wheelchair Basketball.
As of June 8, at 10:00 pm, Indonesia continues to top the list with 381 medals (153 gold, 141 silver and 87 bronze), followed by Thailand with 314 medals (123 gold, 107 silver and 84 bronze) and Vietnam with 199 medals (66 gold, 56 silver and 77 bronze).
Malaysia, the Philippines and Myanmar occupy the fourth, fifth and sixth places with 114 medals (47 gold, 38 silver and 29 bronze), 115 medals (33 gold, 33 silver and 49 bronze), and 57 medals (15 gold, 23 silver and 19 bronze), respectively.
Singapore came in 7th with 43 medals (12 gold, 15 silver and 16 bronze), Brunei Darussalam 9th with 8 medals (3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze), and Timor-Leste 10th with 7 medals (2 gold and 5 bronze), while Laos sits at the bottom of the list with 11 medals (2 silver and 9 bronze).
The 12th ASEAN Para Games 2023 is going to be wrapped up tomorrow evening in a solemn ceremony under the presidency of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his spouse, Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen.
