CMAA Receives China Foundation for Peace and Development Delegation to Strengthen Humanitarian Ties
AKP Phnom Penh, April 24, 2026 -- Senior Minister H.E. Dr. Ly Thuch, First Vice President of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA), received Ms. Wang Yahui, Director of the China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD), and her delegation at the CMAA headquarters on April 24 for a courtesy call and working discussion.
During the meeting, Ms. Wang thanked H.E. Senior Minister for sharing information that allowed her delegation to better understand Cambodia’s mine action efforts and the humanitarian work carried out under the CMAA.
The CFPD Director also requested continued support, partnership, and cooperation from the CMAA in the foundation’s humanitarian activities in Cambodia.
Ms. Wang highlighted the work of the CFPD, which was established in Beijing in 2011 and focuses on humanitarian initiatives. She noted that the foundation has partnered with numerous civil society organisations to support humanitarian efforts in countries across the region.
The CFPD opened its office in Cambodia in 2019 and has since been assisting poor and vulnerable communities in the Kingdom.
H.E. Dr. Ly Thuch welcomed the CFPD’s presence in Cambodia and praised the foundation’s humanitarian contributions.
He also encouraged the foundation to consider extending support to persons with disabilities and communities affected by landmines and explosive remnants of war in Cambodia.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and partnerships in humanitarian activities aimed at improving the well-being of the Cambodian people.
