Industry Minister Meets WEF’s Representative, Supports Global Value Chain Survey
AKP Phnom Penh, April 03, 2025 -- H.E. HEM Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, received here on April 3 World Economic Forum (WEF)’s representative, Mrs. Miranda Andruccioli, to discuss support for the WEF’s Global Value Chain Survey and areas of cooperation.
According to a news release of the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, H.E. HEM Vanndy highlighted Cambodia’s commitment to strengthening its industrial competitiveness as the country prepares for its LDC graduation by the end of 2029. He asked WEF to provide technical assistance and analytical support to help the country navigate market requirements in the face of the global supply chain volatility.
Mrs. Andruccioli outlined WEF’s expansive portfolio, including sustainability and climate change, economic growth, health, and technology governance. In addition to the support for WEF’s Global Value Chain Survey, she invited MISTI officials to contribute to its other studies, workshops and forums.
WEF is a nonprofit organisation that engages political, business, and other leaders to shape global, regional, and industry agendas, focusing on improving the state of the world.
