Vietnam-Cambodia Trade Expo Opens in Phnom Penh to Boost Bilateral Economic Ties
AKP Phnom Penh, October 14, 2026 -- The Vietnam-Cambodia Trade and Business Matching Exhibition 2026 (VIDEX CAMBODIA 2026) officially opened Wednesday morning at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh capital city.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Gen. Tan Thana, Secretary of State at Cambodia's Ministry of National Defence, and attended by senior officials from Cambodia's Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Economy and Finance, leadership from Vietnam's Ministry of National Defence and the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, along with representatives from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, the Vietnam-Cambodia Business Association, and the Khmer-Vietnam Association in Cambodia.
The annual major economic and trade event is co-organised by Vietnam's Ministry of National Defence and Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with Cambodia's Ministry of National Defence and Ministry of Commerce. The exhibition aims to strengthen diplomatic ties, enhance economic cooperation, and expand bilateral trade volume between the two neighbouring nations.
Running through Saturday, Oct. 17, the four-day expo features nearly 160 companies from both countries across more than 230 exhibition booths showcasing a wide range of high-quality products and services. Categories on display include food and beverages, agricultural products, technology and machinery, consumer goods, apparel, and banking and financial services.
Beyond product displays, the event serves as a business-to-business (B2B) matching platform, providing local traders, wholesalers, and investors with direct networking and negotiation opportunities with Vietnamese manufacturers to explore import, distribution, and joint-venture partnerships.
To mark the opening day, organisers prepared 2,000 souvenir gift sets featuring products from Vietnamese enterprises to distribute to members of the public, as well as local and international visitors.
VIDEX CAMBODIA 2026 is free and open to the public, offering local consumers access to high-quality goods at promotional prices while creating new growth opportunities for business owners and investors.
