The Bay Ben (rice ball) offering is a longstanding custom and a vibrant tradition observed by Cambodians during the annual Kan Ben and Pchum Ben festivals, which last in total 15 days. The rice-offering ritual takes place in the early hours of the morning, usually between 3:00 and 4:30 a.m., at pagodas throughout Cambodia.
