Health Minister Lauds Jayavarman VII Hospital for Exemplary Dengue Care Efforts

Minister of Health H.E. Professor Chheang Ra visited Jayavarman VII Hospital in Siem Reap province on Wednesday to inspect pediatric and dengue emergency services, praising healthcare workers for their compassionate and high-quality care.
During the visit, the Minister extended his gratitude to the medical team for their dedication to prioritising patient safety, quality treatment, and care efficiency – particularly for children battling dengue fever. He commended the staff for offering "compassion, quality, and hope" to young patients, recognising Jayavarman VII Hospital as a premier institution in pediatric care and severe dengue treatment.
H.E. Prof. Chheang Ra reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening pediatric emergency services, emphasising that every child must have equitable access to quality medical treatment.
To curb the spread of dengue, he directed the National Dengue Control Programme and healthcare teams to step up preventive measures, expand public health education, and interrupt transmission chains through close cooperation with Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals and local authorities.
Marking the conclusion of a practical training course at Jayavarman VII Hospital, the Minister also met with trainees and master trainers from Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Preah Vihear, Banteay Meanchey, and Battambang provinces.
He lauded the participants' commitment, offered technical recommendations for managing dengue cases, and instructed them to cascade their newly acquired knowledge to regional medical teams across their respective provinces.
