HOdo Group Donates One Million Face Masks to Cambodia

HOdo Group, a Wuxi-based textile and garment giant in China’s Jiangsu province and Chinese controlling shareholder of Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, has donated one million face masks to the Cambodian Red Cross for use in preventing the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in Cambodia.
The donation handover ceremony was held on Mar. 28 in Wuxi city, Jiangsu province in the presence of H.E. Tean Samnang, Cambodian Consul General based in Shanghai city, Mr. Zhou Haijiang, Chairman of the Board and CEO of HOdo Group, and Mr. Chen Jiangang, Chairman of Board of Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone.
Speaking at the function, Mr. Zhou Haijiang said that Cambodia is currently in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, adding that the HOdo Group will continue paying attention to the COVID-19 situation in Cambodia which reflects the relationship between China and Cambodia, as steel friendship.
The HOdo Group and Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone will continue their efforts to contribute to enhancing the friendship ties between Cambodia and China to a new level.
The donation of one million face masks from the HOdo Group and Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone to Cambodia shows unseparated brotherhood between Cambodia and China, H.E. Tean Samnang said.
It will absolutely contribute with the Royal Government of Cambodia to combating the COVID-19 pandemic, he continued.
Cambodia conferred a certificate of appreciation on the company in recognition of its humanitarian action.
About 200,000 face masks will be sent to Cambodia in the first shipment, and the rest will be shipped later.
