AKP Phnom Penh, May 14, 2022--

The Ministry of Environment and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have discussed possible cooperation on reforms and on the preparation of digital system for waste and solid waste management in Cambodia.

The discussion took place here in Phnom Penh on May 12 between H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment and ADB Acting Country Director for Cambodia Mr. Anthony Gill.

Mr. Anthony Gill spoke highly of Cambodia's effort in waste management, adding that ADB will continue supporting the country's garbage and solid waste management sector.

From his end, H.E. Say Samal underlined the ministry's progress and objectives in managing garbage and solid waste in a sustainable manner.

H.E. Minister also encouraged development partners including ADB to join hands with the ministry to prepare a digital system of waste management throughout the country.
