Ministry, JICA on Legal and Justice Development Project Phase VI
AKP Phnom Penh, May 14, 2022 --
The Ministry of Justice and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) continue the implementation of the legal and justice development project (2022-2027) phase VI.
The project cooperative agreement was signed in Phnom Penh this week between H.E. Koeut Rith, Minister of Justice, and Mr. TAKEHARA Masayoshi, TAKEHARA Masayoshi Legal and Justice Team Leader, JICA Headquarters in Japan.
Ms. Kamei Haruko, Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia Office, representatives from Japanese Embassy in Cambodia, Ministry of Justice of Japan, as well as senior officials of Cambodia's Ministry of Justice and concerned ministries and institutions joined the signing event.
The project focuses mainly on strengthening the quality of training at Royal Academy for Judicial Professions and Royal School of Judges.
H.E. Koeut Rith spoke highly of JICA’s active contribution to promoting human resources, especially for Cambodia's legal and justice sector development.
