100% of Those Aged 18 Up Will Receive Their First COVID-19 Dose in Two Weeks

Within the next two weeks, Cambodia will have inoculated 100 percent of its population group aged from 18 up, according to the National Ad-hoc Commission for COVID-19 Vaccination.
H.E. Dr. Or Vandine, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health and Chairwoman of the National Ad-hoc Commission for COVID-19 Vaccination claimed so, adding that a daily average between 3,000 and 4,000 people have come to receive the vaccine.
An estimated 10 million people for this age group has been targeted by the Royal Government of Cambodia for the vaccination.
H.E. Dr. Or Vandine explained that the estimation was based on the 2019 census and does not include mobile people.
As of Oct. 22, some 9,970,865 people aged 18 up have received one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, whereas about 9,622,242 have been injected with the second dose.
Roughly 1,781,819 of nearly two million children aged 12 to under 18 have received their first dose, and around 1,688,171 have gotten the second one.
Of nearly 1.9 million child group aged six to under 12, some 1,899,548 have been inoculated with the first doe, and 1,631,063 have gotten the second dose.
Against the total 16 million population, Cambodia has provided the first those to around 85.33 percent of them.
