Cambodia would be hit by another round of cold weather starting this weekend, from Jan. 9 to 12 due to the effects of northeast monsoon.

According to a new weather forecast released this morning by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM), during the said period, the temperature in the provinces at the central lowland areas would vary between 15 and 27 degrees Celsius.

For the provinces along the Dangrek mountain range and northeastern highland areas, the temperature would drop to between 12 and 26 degrees Celsius, while that of the coastal regions from 18 to 28 degrees Celsius, it added.

MOWRAM called on people, particularly the soldiers stationed at the Dangrek mountain range and northeastern highland areas, to take good care of their health, and fishermen and seafarers to be careful of strong winds and high waves.
