Cambodia Earns Over US$2.4 Billion from Tax Collection for First 10 Months

Cambodia generated over US$2.4 billion from taxes for national income for the first 10 months of this year.
The update was underlined recently by H.E. Kong Vibol, Director General of General Department of Taxation during a review meeting, adding that the amount was 105 percent against the target.
For October 2019 alone, he continued, Cambodia’s tax income was around US$222 million, up nearly 22 percent compared to the same period last year.
The director general acknowledged the hard work of concerned officials and comprehensive reforms leading to the remarkable achievement.
In 2018, Cambodia earned US$2.1 billion from tax collection.
