Cambodia Trade Integration Strategy 2019-2023 Demands Participatory Approach
AKP Phnom Penh, August 22, 2019 —
H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, has called for participation from all concerned ministries and stakeholders for the implementation of Cambodia Trade Integration Strategy (CTIS) 2019-2023.
H.E. Pan Sorasak made the appeal while presiding over a national dissemination workshop on CTIS 2019-2023 at Himawari Hotel, Phnom Penh yesterday.
Consisting of twelve chapters, the Trade Integration Strategy 2019-2023 supports the Kingdom’s endeavour to achieve the graduation from least developed countries (LDCs) and take advantages of new potentials, particularly services and industrial revolution 4.0.
The minister was optimistic that the strategy will contribute essentially to ensuring economic diversification and improved well-being of Cambodian people.
It is a stimulus for the realisation of the Rectangular Strategy-Phase IV, sustainable development goals (SDGs), and economic outlook as an upper middle-income country by 2030 of the Royal Government of Cambodia, he continued.
H.E. Minister added that CTIS 2019-2023 reflects real needs and priorities of Cambodia at the present context such as trade policy and regional negotiations.
