Japan Helps Train Cambodians on Elderly Caring
AKP Phnom Penh, July 03, 2019 --
Japan-Cambodia Interactive Association (JCIA) has sent more Japanese trainers specialised in elderly caring to capacitate members of Pursenchey Social Development Centre in Cambodia.
The update was shared by Mr. Yamada Fumio, President of JCIA in a meeting with Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Ith Samheng here in Phnom Penh yesterday.
The JCIA president informed the minister that Cambodian trainees at the centre who were trained on elderly caring were employed in Japan, and now more of such workers are needed.
Sending of more Japanese trainers to help train Cambodians on elderly caring, added Mr. Yamada Fumio, aims to increase the number of Cambodian trainees on the skill so that they can work in Japan.
H.E. Ith Samheng appreciated JCIA’s effort, and encouraged the organisation to carry out its training project as guided by the memorandum of understanding signed early 2019 by Cambodia and Japan on the labour cooperation.
The minister also asked the Japanese side to help ensure security and safety of Cambodian trainees working in Japan.
