12th Sea Festival Scheduled for December in Preah Sihanouk Province
AKP Phnom Penh, May 11, 2026 --
The 12th Sea Festival will be held in Preah Sihanouk province from Dec. 18 to 20, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet will preside over the official opening ceremony of the annual event, which will be organised under the theme: “Sea Value: Blue Economy Connects Coastal Biodiversity.”
The 2025 Sea Festival celebration was postponed due to Thailand’s military aggression against Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Cambodia has organised the Sea Festival annually since 2011 on a rotating basis among the country’s four coastal provinces – Preah Sihanouk, Kep, Koh Kong, and Kampot – to promote coastal tourism potential and encourage participation from the private sector, local communities, and relevant stakeholders in protecting marine resources and preserving the beach environment.
Cambodia’s coastline stretches approximately 450 kilometres across the four coastal provinces. In mid-2011, it became a member of the Club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World (World-Bays Club).
