Viet Nam Provides US$300,000 to Support Cambodia’s Efforts in Combating COVID-19

The Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam provided humanitarian assistance of US$300,000 to the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia on April 20, to support the Kingdom’s efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
The donation was made known in a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation AKP received this evening.
Viet Nam's leaders also expressed their strong confidence that under the wise leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Cambodia will soon be able to overcome this difficult time posed by the global pandemic and emerge stronger, the same source pointed out.
“The Government and people of the Kingdom of Cambodia sincerely appreciate the Government and people of Viet Nam for their continual assistance in the effort to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in Cambodia,” the press release underlined. “This generous donation does not only reflect a kind humanitarian gesture, but also the ever-growing spirit of traditional friendship, strong solidarity and good neighborliness between the two nations.”
