ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting in Indonesia to Focus on Three Main Topics

The ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting, to be convened in a physical format in Jakarta, Indonesia on April 24 will focus on three main topics.
“During this meeting, the ASEAN Leaders are expected to focus on three main topics, namely advancement of ASEAN Community building process, including the initiatives on COVID-19 response and socio-economic recovery efforts, ASEAN external relations, international and regional developments of common interests and concern,” pointed out a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued this evening.
Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and a number of senior government officials, the source continued.
According to the Premier, he will leave for the summit on April 23 afternoon and return home on April 24 evening, at around 9:00.
The press release added that on April 23, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn will attend a welcoming dinner hosted by H.E. Ms. Retno Marsudi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, on the eve of the ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting.
