AKP Phnom Penh, March 01, 2021 --  

Two private companies – Ocean Apparel Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Glamor Glass Co., Ltd., have just received green light from the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) for their investment projects.

According to a CDC’s press release issued late last week, the first company will invest US$4 million in the construction of a garment factory, while the second will inject US$7.8 million for solar glass production.

The two newly-approved projects, to be located in Kampong Speu province and Koh Kong province, are expected to create nearly 2,500 jobs for the locals, it added.

Such investment amid the COVID-19 outbreak demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic.
