Cambodia-UK Trade Volume Keeps Increasing
AKP Phnom Penh, September 20, 2019 --
Trade volume between Cambodia and the United Kingdom (UK) has increased from one year to another, according to local media report.
During the first five months of 2019, the two-way trade volume reached over US$466 million, wherein Cambodia’s export to the UK was US$450 million, and the Kingdom’s import from the European country was US$15 million.
In 2018, Cambodia-UK trade volume was US$1,083 million, up from US$1,044 million in 2017, and of that total amount, US$1,013 million was Cambodia’s export to the UK and the rest US$65 million was its import.
Most of the Cambodian products exported to the UK are clothes, footwear, bicycles, rice and agricultural products.
The UK is considered as a key trade partner country in European bloc for Cambodia.
