Cambodia, Laos To Sign 7 Cooperation Documents Next Week

AKP Phnom Penh, January 31, 2014 —

Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen will lead a high delegation to visit Laos next week, at the invitation of his Lao counterpart H.E. Thongsing Thammavong, according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued this morning.

During the official visit on Feb. 6-7, 2014, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and his Lao counterpart will hold an official talk and preside over the signing ceremony of seven documents – Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Health Development Cooperation; MoU on Legal and Judicial Cooperation; MoU on Cooperation in the Field of Culture and Art for the period of 2014-2017; Agreement on Education for the period of 2014-2018; Cooperation Plan for year 2014 between the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia and Ministry of Public Security of Laos; MoU on the Establishment of General Consulates between Cambodia and Laos, and Agreement on Sister City Relationship between Phnom Penh and Vientiane Capital Cities, pointed out the press release.

Besides, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will pay separate courtesy calls on H.E. Choummaly Sayasone, President of Laos and H.E. Mrs. Pany Yathortou, President of the National Assembly of Laos, it said.

The Cambodian delegation will include H.E. Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; H.E. Sok An, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers and other members of the Royal Government of Cambodia, added the press release.
