Cambodia To Attend 25th Annual Meeting of APPF in Fiji

AKP Phnom Penh, January 11, 2017 –

A Cambodian parliamentary delegation will attend the 25th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) in Fiji, according to a press release of the General Secretariat of the National Assembly (NA) AKP received this morning.

The Cambodian delegation will be headed by H.E. Chheang Vun, Chairman of the NA Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Propaganda and Information, it added.

The 25th APPF’s Annual Meeting will take place from Jan. 15 to 19, 2017 under the theme “Parliamentary Partnerships for Peace and Security: SDG 16”.

The 24th Annual Meeting of APPF was held in Vancouver, Canada with the participation of 128 Members of Parliament from the 27 APPF member countries, including Cambodia.

Cambodian NA became a full member of APPF in 1995. It is currently a member of the APPF’s Executive Committee, representing Southeast Asia.
