Cambodian Athletes Find 12 Medals on the Vovinam Podium
AKP, Phnom Penh, August 3, 2011 –
Cambodian athletes fought 12 Medals on the podium at the second World Vovinam Championship in Ho Chi Minh where there are athletes from 22 countries competed, Roth Sokhorn, Cambodian Vovinam Federation President said.
Among the triumphant team members, Sorn Elit, 24 years old athlete won the gold for the kingdom at Ho Chi Minh City’s Phu Tho Stadium, most are silvers and some are bronze, he said.
The team were honored at the meeting at headquarter of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia yesterday.
The participant countries are Cambodia, Argentina, Algeria, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Laos, Poland, Romaine, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Morocco, and Vietnam as the hosted country.
