Italia Wishes to Provide Aid on Cambodia’s Education and Sport Sectors

Italia has revealed its aid program for Cambodia in education and sports fields.

The program has been shown here recently by Mr. Sen Carto Giovanardi, President of the Italian Commission of Inter-Country Adoption, Senator and Secretary to Italian Prime Minister during the meeting with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers H.E. Sok An.

On the Occasion, H.E. Sok An welcomed the Italia’s aid program to Cambodia and asked the government of Italia to further enhance the economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in investment and tourism.

Italia has cooperated with Cambodia in child welfare sector since 1990.

Since 2002, some 759 Cambodian children have been adopted by Italian parents.

Up to now, the government of Italia has provided 480,000 Euros to Cambodia via the commission of inter-country adoption and Italian NGOs.
