Cambodia, Italia Cooperate on Child Welfare Sector

AKP Phnom Penh, July 28, 2011 –

A seminar on “Collaboration between the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and the Italian Commission of Inter-Country Adoption on Child Welfare” was held here on July 27 at Intercontinental Hotel.

The seminar was aimed to strengthen the child welfare sector in Cambodia.

The seminar was held under the presidency of H.E. Ith Sam Heng, Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, Mr. Sen Carlo Giovanardi, President of the Italian Commission of the Inter-Country Adoption.

On the occasion, H.E. Nim Thaut, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, said the seminar is a very important step and model for the cooperation between the ministry of social affairs and other friendly countries throughout the world to protect children from violence and trafficking.
