GIZ, Legal Successor of GTZ, DED and InWEnt
AKP Phnom Penh, May 31, 2011 –
The German implementing agencies for technical cooperation – GTZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit, DED (German Development Service) and InWEnt (Capacity Building International) – have merged into GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit).
The Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kingdom of Cambodia recognized GIZ as legal successor to GTZ, DED and InWEnt, said Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Keat Chhon in a recent letter to German Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Dr. Wolfgang Moser.
“We hope that this Merger of Implementing Agencies for Technical Cooperation will strengthen our development cooperation even better and can operate the works much more efficiently,” H.E. Keat Chhon said.
