Cambodian International High School Arts Festival 2011 To Be Launched Early June
AKP Phnom Penh, May 31, 2011 –
The Cambodian International High School Arts Festival 2011 will be held on June 4 at the University of Cambodia (UC) in Phnom Penh.
High school students aging between 15-18 years old are invited to join the contest.
The 1st place winner will receive a 2 million Riel award (roughly US$500) and a trip to Japan from July 27-31, 2011 to participate in “The International High School Arts Festival,” where the student’s winning art piece will be displayed in an exhibit with pieces from other winning young artists and professional artists from Japan and around the world, according to UC.
The two runners-up will get 1.6 million Riel (roughly US$400) and 1.2 million Riel (roughly US$300) respectively.
This festival is sponsored by the Tokyo-based International Foundation for Arts and Culture (IFAC), which is chaired by Dr. Haruhisha Handa, UC Chancellor.
