2012 Cambodia International Machinery Industrial Fair Kicks Off
AKP Phnom Penh, August 17, 2012 –
The 2012 Cambodia International Machinery Industrial Fair kicked off here this morning at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center, Phnom Penh, in the presence of H.E. Mao Thora, Secretary of State for Commerce.
The four-day fair was organized by Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Joint-Stock Company and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd. in collaboration with the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia and Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.
Over 200 companies from different countries have been displaying their products on 300 stalls.
Ms. Judy Wang, President of Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd. of Hong Kong said the exhibitors are from Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, Germany, China’s Hong Kong, China’s Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the U.S. and Vietnam.
This event, the 2nd of its kind, will be a platform for manufacturers, buyers, traders, and distributors, to explore their business and investment opportunities in Cambodia, H.E. Mao Thora said.
It will not only give benefits to the garment sector that accounts some 75 percent of the Cambodian exports, but also to the country’s agricultural sector, in particular the milled rice sector, he added.
