Cambodia To Mark the 45th Anniversary of ASEAN Day Tomorrow

The Kingdom of Cambodia, as the Chair of ASEAN in 2012, will celebrate the 45th Anniversary of ASEAN Day on Aug. 8, in Phnom Penh, said a press release from the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFA-IC) dated today.

The Commencement of ASEAN Flag Hoisting will be presided over by H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong, Minister of MFA-IC, in the morning of Aug. 8 at the MFA-IC, it indicated.

In the evening, the ASEAN Day Reception, to be held at Koh Pich City Hall, will be presided over by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Lok Chumteav Kittiprittbindit Bun Rany Hun Sen, with the participation of ASEAN Secretary General H.E. Dr. Surin Pitsuwan and Madam, said the press release.

During the Reception, H.E. Dr. Surin Pitsuwan will make his remarks, and Samdech Techo Hun Sen will deliver a Keynote Address and sign the ASEAN Lecture Poster, added the press release.
