PM To Explain Border Issues at the National Assembly on Thursday

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will explain the border issues with Vietnam to the National Assembly (NA) this Thursday, said a news release of the NA General Secretariat.

According to the news release, on Aug. 9 the NA will continue its 8th session of the 4th legislature under the presidency of Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, president of NA. The session will discuss four main agendas, including the verbal explanation to the NA over Cambodia-Vietnam border marker plantation works, it underlined.

At a graduation ceremony on Aug. 1, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said he will spend four hours to answer the questions about the border issues.

“We will clear everything at the NA. [...] If possible, it should be televised live in all local TV channels. It is serious as they call us ‘traitors’,” said the prime minister.

Cambodia and Vietnam share a common border of 1,270 kilometers.
