Documentary Video on Vietnamese-Cambodian Marker Plantation Process Put on Screen

AKP Phnom Penh, August 03, 2012 —

A 35-minute documentary video on the Cambodian-Vietnamese border marker plantation process was shown on local TV channels yesterday evening, according to local media reports.

The documentary video has been produced by the Press and Quick Reaction Unit (PRU) of Cambodia’s Office of the Council of Ministers with an aim to “neutralize” the political exploitation of the opposition parties and some civil societies over the border issues with Vietnam, said H.E. Tith Sothea, Spokesperson and PRU Vice President.

The documentary video includes the explanation and clarification related to Cambodia-Vietnam border maker plantation works by the head of government, border technical experts, such as H.E. Sok An, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers, lawyers, local authorities and people, he said.

Cambodia and Vietnam share a common border of 1,270 kilometers.
