Traffic Accidents Drop 17 Percent During First Semester of 2012
AKP Phnom Penh, July 20, 2012 –
There were some 2,453 cases of traffic accidents in Cambodia during the first semester of 2012 showing a fall of 492 cases or 17 percent as compared with the same period of 2011.
The figure was revealed here on July 19 by Mr. Yun Chhuni, Deputy Commissioner General of National Police of the Ministry of Interior during a meeting to review the first semester’s works of Cambodia’s land traffic law enforcement and set forth new goals for the second semester 2012.
Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, called upon all relevant institutions and partners to continue to try all their utmost to conduct more inspection, dissemination as well as tighten the enforcement of the land traffic law.
