Cambodia To Host the 37th WHC Session in 2013

The Kingdom of Cambodia has been selected to be the chairperson of the World Heritage Committee (WHC) in 2013 and the host of the 37th Session.

The decision was made at the 36th WHC Session held from June 24 to July 6, 2012 in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, according to a press release from the Cambodian National Commission for UNESCO.

The decision, which honors Cambodia as the host, clearly reflects the international community’s trust and confidence in the Royal Government of Cambodia’s efforts and achievements in the political, economic and cultural sectors, it said.
