Cambodian Health Minister Leaves for 11th ASEAN Health Ministers’ Meeting

Cambodian Minister of Health H.E. Mam Bunheng this morning departed for the 11th ASEAN Health Ministers’ Meeting (AHMM) and related meetings in Phuket, Thailand, taking place from July 2 to 6.

Speaking to reporters before his departure, H.E. Mam Bun Heng said the main aim of the meeting is to discuss about health strategy to promote the ASEAN people’s welfare for the ASEAN Community by 2015.

“At the meeting, I will raise about Cambodia’s achievements in improving child and maternal welfare, and combating malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS,” he said.

Cambodia will achieve the Millennium Development Goals in terms of health indicator, he said.
