PRU’s Visit in China Ends with Fruitful Results
AKP Phnom Penh, June 27, 2012 –
A delegation of the Press and Quick Reaction Unit (PRU) of Cambodia’s Office of the Council of Ministers (OCM) led by H.E. Svay Sitha, Secretary of State and Chief of PRU concluded last weekend its seven-day official visit in China, at the invitation of the State Council Information Office.
The visit had been fruitful and was successfully concluded thanks to the warm hospitality and excellent arrangement by the Chinese Host, said the PRU, adding that through this visit, it had not only learned important new experiences on the field of information and media, but also it could broaden its networking for the dissemination of information with the Chinese assistance.
Moreover, added the PRU, the Chinese side pledged to assist the PRU in strengthening its capacity and providing access for dissemination of PRU media reports.
According to the PRU, during its stay in China, the PRU delegation has been received by H.E. Hong Liang, Deputy General Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. The disuccasion focused on the issue of Information and Media within the context of the Comprehensive Bilateral Strategic Partnership between the Governments of Cambodia and China, said the PRU.
The delegation has been also received by H.E. Wang Chen, Minister of the State Council Information Office (SCIO) for a friendly and meaningful talk on the development of cooperation between SCIO and PRU in the areas of Information and Media.
Besides, the PRU delegation has visited China International Publishing Group (CIPG) and Translators Association of China in Beijing and went to Jiangsu, Nanjing, and Shanghai.
