The Second Meeting of Cambodia-Thailand JWG To Kick Off in Late June
AKP Phnom Penh, June 22, 2012 –
The Second Meeting of Cambodia-Thailand Joint Working Group (JWG-2) will be held from June 26 to 28 in Phnom Penh, according to a press release from Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defense.
The Thai delegation will arrive in Phnom Penh on June 26 and will meet with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense H.E. Gen. Tea Banh, said the press release.
The meeting will officially kicks off on June 27 at the Peace Palace, it said, adding that the Cambodian side will be led by Gen. Neang Phat, Secretary of State for National Defense.
The agendas of the next week’s meeting will focus on the results of the first meeting including the redeployment of Cambodian and Thai military troops from the Provisional Demilitarized Zone under the ICJ’s order dated July 18, 2011, according to Gen. Neang Phat.
The first meeting of Cambodia-Thailand JWG was held on April 3-5 in Bangkok, Thailand.
