MSAVY Holds a Training Course Relating to Children’s Affairs
AKP Phnom Penh, June 15, 2012 –
A training course on the preparative planning of prevention and emergency rescue on child protection field was held on June 13 in the presence of H.E. Amad Yasya, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MSAVY).
The two-day course, sponsored by UNICEF, was organized by MSAVY with the participation of representatives from MSAVY, National Committee for Disaster Management and UNICEF.
The course, the first of its kinds, aimed to get officials from national and provincial level institutions and the development partners to prepare the preventive planning ahead of the occurrence of disasters, the emergency rescue while being subjected to the disasters and the assistance to be provided after the disasters.
Over the last years, MSAVY made a great effort in cooperation with UNICEF in carrying out such working programs relevant to children’s affairs as a project for enhancing the quality of children care in the center, the community and the family, the program of human trading prevention and victim integration, program of labor rehabilitation in the community, the program of juvenile prisoners, etc., said H.E. Amad Yasya at the opening ceremony.
