Cambodia Wins 21 Medals in 2011 ASEAN Para Games in Indonesia
AKP Phnom Penh, December 23, 2011 —
Cambodia won 21 medals in the 2011 ASEAN Para Games held from Dec. 15 to 20 in Solo, Indonesia.
Of the 21 medals, Cambodia got two gold medals, seven silver, and 12 bronze in athletics, swimming and cart racing.
Cambodia dispatched 19 athletes to participate in the event, according to Mr. Yi Veasna, Executive Director of the National Center of Disabled Persons and Secretary-General of National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia.
Thailand ranked first with 286 medals, while the host country, Indonesia came in second with 310 medals among the eleven country participants.
