DPM Sar Kheng Receives New Indian Ambassador to Cambodia

AKP Phnom Penh, April 11, 2018 –

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng has received newly appointed Ambassador of India to Cambodia H.E. Ms. Manika Jain.

In the meeting taking place yesterday afternoon in Phnom Penh, H.E. Ms. Manika Jain spoke highly of Cambodia’s sustained economic growth and social stability.

The Indian diplomat also spoke of recent visit of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen to India, stressing that the visit contributed significantly to enhanced bilateral cooperation between India and ASEAN countries, including Cambodia.

Thanks to the visit, she added, two key agreements were signed by the Royal Government of Cambodia and India, and the two friends are working hard to carry out the agreements successfully.

Samdech Sar Kheng congratulated Ms. Manika Jain on her assigned role in Cambodia and was positive that her mission will further boost friendship tie, solidarity and collaboration between the two nations.

The Cambodian DPM profoundly thanked the Government of India for its contribution to the Cambodia’s development in all sectors, especially in the fields of human resource development and illicit drug combat.
